Intel® BunnyPeople™ Featured on the Front Cover of Modern Ferret™ Magazine

Smithtown, NY: To celebrate the Easter Holiday in a more "modern" way, Modern Ferret Magazine is featuring Intel BunnyPeople on the front cover of its March/April issue instead of more traditional Easter props. According to owner and editor Mary R. Shefferman, "This may be the first time these characters have achieved the front cover recognition they deserve for their empowerment of entrepreneurial businesses. Modern Ferret is a home-based business staffed by two people and seven ferrets. Utilizing the latest computer technology, such as the new Pentium® II, has enabled Modern Ferret to successfully compete with larger magazine publishing houses."

Designer Eric Shefferman says, "The BunnyPeople were terrific to work with. They're very easygoing and attractive. They have the color and flash to dress up a magazine cover. Of course, they have that decidedly modern space-age thing going on, too. They are tireless models and they didn't mind being taped to the framework we built to suspend them for the photo."

Intel isn't just on the cover of Modern Ferret magazine, it is also very important inside Modern Ferret. "The price-to-performance ratio of Intel-based machines enables us to afford the leading-edge technology we need to compete with larger publishers. With only two people, we've been able to accomplish the tasks that normally require an entire publishing staff. Our new Pentium processor machines are crucial to getting the work done on time," says Mary. "We like to do things that other magazines don't think of and thanks to Intel, we have the power to do them."

Eric says, "We've always considered ourselves to be the 'Rolling Stone of pet magazines.' From our innovative ferret photography and graphics to our high-tech production techniques, we've always tried to stay on the cutting edge of pet magazines." Modern Ferret features the usual sort of care, health, and training articles commonly found in pet magazines, but also contains the fun extras such Pet of the Month ferret centerfold pin-ups and Ferretted Fairy Tails, which give Modern Ferret its unique character. Eric says, "As ferret owners ourselves, we're tuned in to the fun aspects of ferrets that make them such lovable companions. We strive to bring those fun aspects to the printed page."
